In this photograph I've taken the tunnel is used to create the frame of the image. I used inspiration from Vivian Maker as she used a buss to frame an image. I think its interesting when an image is framed by the surroundings. The tunnel allows the perspective of the distance of the people be seen through the image. The yellow lines on the floor create a contrast between the colours of the walls.

These image are influenced by one of Vivian makers images, where she fade and image of a sillowet to frame two girls sitting down. I experimented with photoshop shop and some images I had already taken. I left some in there original colours and edited some to be black and white. I think both black and white and untouched images have different affects with the fading of the image. I like the black and white become some of the gets displaced in other part of the image. For example the faded image of the houses slightly merges with the clouds of the sky. The merge of both image aren't harsh because of the colouring of the image. Where as the image that isn't black and white has a more un-natural look to it. It shows to two different images clearly. I think this is also interesting because of the dimensions of both images. The image of the gate that is placed of the background image has a 2D dimension and captures the rest of the image. This dimension contrast with the dimension of the tunnel which I think has an interesting affect.

For this experiment I used a mirror and placed it on the floor so that it would capture the branches of the tree and showing the sky in the background. It captures these thing as a frame would. I like the contrast between the floor and the sky in the mirror. I decide to edit the image in photoshop by making the ground black and white with out changing the part of the image with the mirror. I did this by layering two of the same images on top of each other other and making the top layer black and white. Then cutting the section of the black and white mirror to see the unfiltered image. This creates a further contrast in the image. I like the simplicity of the image, theres not a lot going on. But the mirror in the image framing the sky is bold and the focus of it is enhanced by the vast contrast. I want to do more experimentation with this image.

I think that this image is really interesting. The frame in the image captures the tree and changes the perspective of the tree. The tree is photographed next to some buildings exaggerating the size of the tree. The low angle of the photograph manipulates the size of the window this is further exaggerated by the window frame the tree.
The warm lighting inside as the first perspective of the image contrasts with the lighting outside creating an obvious change in the images and puts a greater focus on the outside. However the contrast is not harsh in the image. The colours of both aspects of the images are similar since neither of the colours in the images are harsh. |
In this image the small window that I photographed was dirty creating an unclear view of outside the window showing that part of the image to be un-focused. I like the effect this has on the photograph. The light in the image is interesting; the light from where I took the image is very bright and the colours are light this massively contrasts with the view from the window. Out side the window is faded and dark. This allows just the siluet of the trees to be seen and the reflections of the image are very unclear. This frame draws attention to the outside view since as the contrasts is so prominent.

I am pleased with this image. This composition of the image creates an interesting frame to the image. The frame is created by the two houses and it slightly distorted by the branches of the tree. The frame is used to focus the image of looking through the frame. I photographed this picture because it has layers of dimension from the way it is composition. for example the first thing that is frames are the branches of the tree, then the garden and the bin and finally the view of the landscape in the background. I also like the way the clouds get smaller and smaller in the image it adds to the depth of field.
I also like how the natural light in the image is fragmented. |
